Tour 6 ~ 4 days 3 nights
Padua, Venice (the Spiritual Islands) and Vicenza
Wonderful Palaces, ancients bridges and world wide famous Palladio Villas are immortal Italian monuments

1st Day: ARRIVAL
Arrival of the participants, meeting with our Customer Assistant and transfer by 1st class air conditioned Gran Tourism Coach, to the hotel for accommodation in the reserved rooms. Spare time and overnight stay
 
2nd Day: PADUA – THE CITY OF SAN ANTONIO
After breakfast in hotel transfer to Padua and full morning dedicated to the city visit. In the beautiful historical centre it’s possible to admire Prato della Valle, the Basilica of S. Antonio, built in 1232, Piazza delle Erbe, the Scrovegni Chapel (optional entrance suitable to availability, subordinated to booking and to an anticipated payment of €9 per person). In the afternoon free time for lunch (not included but organisation of the lunch in a typical restaurant available) and motorboat excursion by the “La Padovanella”. During the pleasant journey down the river, it’s possible to admire all the monuments which tell about Padua’s history between the XV and the XX century. To do not be missed are the visit to the famous “Scalinata of the Portello” which dates back to the XV century. The Portello used to be and ancient fluvial port, very important during the period of the Venetian Republic, recently restored, Porta Molino, the bridges of “Grade del Carmine”, the bridges called “Ponte Molino” and “Ponte San Leonardo”. It is a unique opportunity to see walls, Palaces, churches and monuments from the water. Characteristic are Mill of the Porte Contarine (XVI century) and will see the “Portello Vecchio”, discovering all the secret tunnels and passages which used to connect the bastions during Renaissance . This excursion lasts about 2 hours and ends on the same jetty it began from. In the evening guests will be taken back to the hotel where they will dine and spend the night.
 
3rd Day: VENICE AND THE “SPIRITUAL ISLAND”
After breakfast in hotel, transfer to Fusina, meeting with our customer assistant and get on board of a motorboat which will leave from the jetty of Fusina and travel to Venice. On the way splendid view of San Marco Square and navigation towards the Isle of the Armeni, a Monastery founded in the 1600 a.d. (cost of ticket € 5,16 Euro per person, suitable to availability) and one of the most important centres of Armenian Culture in the World. On this island, an oasis of peace, there are two libraries, an archaeological museum and a most amazing collection of manuscripts. On this Island Lord Byron was a guest. Later the navigation will proceed as far as Torcello, the ancient Turriculum which literally means “small tower”. The island is tucked away among dunes and islets. Here the motorboat will stop, and who wishes to, may visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta (for groups special price of € 1.6 Euro per person, suitable to availability), where it’s possible to admire mosaics of the Veneto- Bizantine school which dates back to XII and XIII century. There are also the beautiful church of Santa Fosca, and the Oratorio of San Marco. On board a typical venetian lunch will be served. The motorboat will proceed its journey as far as the Isle of San Francesco nel Deserto, also known as the Island of the Cypresses. The legend tells us that S. Francis, in 1220, rested on this beautiful spot. In the evening return to Fusina, and transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

4th Day: VICENZA AND MONTE BERICO SANCTUARY
After breakfast in hotel, meeting with our Customer Assistant and transfer to Vicenza for a full day visit to the city: the historical centre, the Teatro Olimpico, which was designed by Palladio in 1580, Piazza dei Signori, where it’s possible to admire the Palladian Basilica, also known as Palazzo della Ragione (external visit and explanation only); this monument is considered the symbol of Vicenza and included in the list of the World Heritage of the UNESCO. In the afternoon free time for lunch (not included but organisation of the lunch in a typical restaurant available). In the afternoon transfer to the Monte Berico, and visit to a Sanctuary built during a terrible plague which decimated the Population of Vicenza between 1425 and 1428. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
 
5th Day: RETURN
After breakfast in the hotel, free time and departure.
