Tour 12 ~ 6 days 5 nights
Verona, Vicenza, Padua, Venice
1st Day: ARRIVAL
Arrival of the participants, meeting with our Customer Assistant and transfer by 1st class air conditioned Gran Tourism Coach, to the hotel for accommodation in the reserved rooms. Spare time and overnight stay.
 
2nd Day: VERONA
After breakfast in hotel, meeting with our Customer Assistant and our Touristic Guide, transfer to Romeo and Juliet city and full day visit. The Roman amphitheatre called Arena was built in the 1st century A.D. and still today hosts various events. The internal tiers of steps could seat about 25,000 spectators and its interiors are still perfectly preserved. The Roman theatre, the Stone Bridge , the Gavi Arch and the monumental gates (Porta Borsari and the Porta Leona) are the most important remains of a very prosperous Roman age. In the afternoon free time for lunch (not included but organised on request in typical restaurant). The trip continue in the afternoon with the Basilica of San Zeno, the beautiful Andrea Mantegna paintings masterpieces, of the 15th century, and the Churches of SS. Apostoli. Nice walk in the historical centre and stop to the legendary Romeo and Juliet Balcony, the two young lovers of Shakespeare tragedy. Transfer to the hotel for dinner, relax and overnight stay.

3rd Day: VICENZA

After lunch in restaurant transfer to Vicenza for a half day guided visit of this world famous city known as “the town of Palladio” (this year 500th anniversary) surrounded by the picturesque Colli (Hills) Berici. A short walk will pass through the Olympic Theatre, planned by Andrea Palladio for the representation of classical tragedies, the Palazzo della Ragione, the most symbolic monument of the city, and historical squares until Piazza dei Signori (Gentlemen Square), “drawing room” and heart of economic activity since the Communes times. Free time in the afternoon for lunch (not included but organised on request in typical restaurant) and visit to Santa Croce Church and the Sanctuary of Monte Berico, a monumental group of buildings, dated back to the 1688 – 1703, planned by Borella. If there is enough time, possibility to visit Villa Valmarana ai Nani (dwarfs) name linked to a poetic legend and to the little statues located around the garden walls.

4th Day: PADUA
After breakfast in hotel, meeting with our Customer Assistant and our Touristic Guide, transfer to Padua and full day visit. Sightseeing to do not be missed: St. Anthony’s Basilica (the Santo) a great building erected in 1232; Prato della Valle – valley Meadow – one of the widest square in the world; Erbe Square where every morning there is a traditional popular fruits and vegetables market; Palazzo del Bò, the Padua ancient University founded in 1222; Scrovegni Chapel with frescoes by Giotto of the 16th century: optional entrance suitable to availability, subordinated to booking and to an anticipated payment of €9 per person. Free time in the afternoon for lunch (not included but organised on request in typical restaurant). In the late evening transfer to the hotel for dinner, relax and overnight stay.

5th Day: VENICE
After breakfast in hotel, meeting with our Customer Assistant, transfer to Venice and meeting with our Touristic Guide for a full day visit. Venice the town between river, lagoon and sea. Piazza San Marco (St. Mark Square) is the only square in Venice that can be called Piazza, while all other squares are called Campi; Palazzo Ducale, the government symbol of the Republic of Venice; Basilica of St. Mark; Ponte dei Sospiri or Bridge of Sighs , connects the Palazzo Ducale to the New Prisons; Ponte di Rialto, the Bridge of Rialto, made immortal by Shakespeare in the “Merchant of Venice“, are just a few of the Venice symbols. Free time in the afternoon for lunch, not included but organised on request in typical restaurant. In the late evening return to the hotel for dinner, relax and overnight stay.

 


6th Day: RETURN
After Breakfast in hotel, free time and departure.
